visiting Ati in Saarbrücken I

The Unterhof-community met again! This time, we spent a weekend at Ati´s´and Stefan´s house in Saarbrücken. On Saturday, we visited Metz (France). I was most impressed by the gorgeous colorful windows of the cathedral. Bottom picture from left to right: Katha, Ati, me, Alice. Above: me & Ulli with Katha´s new cap and on top: still sleepy at breakfast.

Karl-Gustav

Karl-Gustav is a photo model! This beautiful shot was taken by Elisabeth, Mr. Barber´s girlfriend, who is a professional photographer. Here´s her web page: http://www.photo-and-art.com/

Karl-Gustav arrived!!!

And here he is: Karl-Gustav, my new corn snake! Isn´t he the most beautiful snake in the world???! I´m so proud of him!

Spring & Nina in Berlin

Sping has come - and with it: Nina! She´s in the middle of her final exams at school, so she came to relax for a while. Meaning: trying on evening gowns for her Abitur ball and visiting billions of museums. But to by pleasure, she also tried on a dirndl that really suites her well, doesn´t it?

Easter-hike in Sächsische Schweiz IX

Puh, I´m done! And here we are again, back in civilization: Helene, Marcus, Claudi, Julia, Wolle, Seppel and Martin. But who put the little pigs cheeks on the menue??! And on top: Julia and me with the new sausage-hairstyle. Treeendyyyy!!!

Easter-hike in Sächsische Schweiz VIII

Beautiful landscape.... and money laundering between Seppel and Julia on the Czech border - veeery suspicious!

Easter-hike in Sächsische Schweiz VII

On top: the smallest beings can be the most beatiful ones! Below: Which of those eggs did I choose to pick up? HAPPY EASTER!!!!

Claudia and Helene, just before reaching the top.

Easter-hike in Sächsische Schweiz V

What a morning! Waking up in complete silence where magicly sparkling snow covers the trees and rocks in front of our little cove is just a gift. I took a deep breath and felt I was the happiest person in the world! Marcus jumped out in the cold and took a photo of Claudia, Helene, Seppel, Martin and me.

Easter-hike in Sächsische Schweiz IV

Georgeous views!!!! And I´m caught in the depth of an old well...

Easter-hike in Sächsische Schweiz III

From the top to the bottom: Claudia is definitely the naughtiest of us all - at least when it comes to snowball fights! Julia tries if the icicles taste good. Hmmmm, moss flavor! And: we used natural accomodations - these rock shelters are called "Boofe" and hikers are allowed to spend the night in them. Martin seems to take a fancy on this cosy place.

Here´s the group! From left to right: Wolle, Claudi, Helene, Martin, Seppel, Julia and Marcus. and I took the picture...

Easter-hike in Sächsische Schweiz I

Outside again, yeah-yeah!!!! I decided to join the 4-day-tour despite my heavy cough & fever and it was more than worth it! The Sächsische Schweiz is located near Dresden. The canyon-like landsape is crosed by many streams and gorgeous views awaited us! It had begun to snow, so we had snowfights and tried to catch snowflakes with our mouths. That was so much fun!

homeopathy-dinner at Claudia´s

This semester we´re having combined dinner & homeopathy meetings at our member´s homes. This time Eva, Claudia, Ute and I met at Claudia´s house. As you can see, Ute and I are happy with the dinner-at-home-homeopathy thing:)

young bald eagle in Springe

There´s a falconry at the Springe Saupark and this magnificent bald eagle gave us a flight show - I was totally impressed by its phenomenal size!

European Bison-meeting in Springe

Steffi, Arne and I took part in a 3-day meeting about European bison husbandry in Springe. We didn´t just talk about bison, but had a chance to visit the local Wildlife park and meet our colleagues from Bialowieza, Poland: Rafal and Dorota. In 2006, I spent 4 weeks in Bialowieza and took samples from bison that Rafal immobilized. That was a lot of fun although it was freezing cold (-20°C).

preparations for my new cornsnake´s arrival

The terrarium for my cornsnake arrived. While I´m still waiting for warmer weather so that he can be shipped to me from southern Germany, I decided to use that time to paint the terrarium and prepare everything for my snake´s move-in.
